How rubbish am I?

I must be the most lazy blogger there ever was... I love blogs, I think they're brilliant, the only problem is that I just never seem to find the time to sit down and write one!

I'm usually too busy on Facebook to bother, which is naughty really.. So, New Years resolutions.. OK I know its February, but I can still make some :-)

1) Blog more often... update all my blogs.. I have a few, so I really should work hard to make them work for me.

2) Be more creative.. and thusly share my creativity online :-) (Too many designs running through my head, not enough time in the day)

3) Keep singing and writing songs... Well, its a band thing.. Pink Djinn to be precise.

4) Find time to sort my life out once and for all. I've been procrastinating really, busy looking for a job, when its possible the job I've always dreamed of is staring me in the face... Perhaps I should consider going self employed??

Eeek.. scary stuff this flow of conciousness business...

Its Spring now (yeah.. of course it is... thats why the winds blowing like a hurricane outside) so its time to Spring Clean my life! Sort the stuff out I'd like to achieve this year, clear out the crap, and get pro-active!! Hurrah!! Success! A breakthrough!!
Maybe 2011 is going to be my year :-)

Face painting and balloon modelling

Well, I have, by default taken up a new hobby .. now anyone that knows me will know that I have a habit of takig up new hobbies ...

I knit, I can make jewellery, I've made fabulous things out of polymer clay, I try to crochet (but I'm not very good at it), I can sew, draw and a multitude of other things...

Now my newest thing is balloon modelling and face painting...

What has made me decide I could do these?

Well, I went to visit my ex with the kids las Saturday, and he'd bought them a balloon inflator and a bunch of 26og balloons, Now he and the kids thought that blowing them up would be fun in itself, which of course it is.. while they were playing I scoured you tube and found loads of videos on balloon modelling... So I made 2 dogs, a flower, several hats and my piece de resistance ... a pair of fairy wings!!!!!! I'm utterly addicted!
This led me to several websites for face painting ( and also due to my ex's new girlfriend already being a face painter ... no, I'm not being weird ... just inspired!) ... and I thought "I'm creative, I can paint ... surely I can do facepainting?" ... watch this space!

Its raining, its pouring

Do you know we Brits do nothing but complain about the weather, in fact its a national pastime...

Today its raining ... Now is it because of global pole shifts, global warming, or what? I personally have no idea whats causing it to rain (other than by something that can be described by more competant people than me).

What we forget is that rain is essential for life, without rain we wouldn;t have plants, trees, animals, springs, streams, rivers, etc... I fact we're something like 80% water ourselves, so water is essential to life.

So my advice .. don't complain when it rains, do something else instead....

Not really being a fan of popular music, I discovered a really talented young woman who is just brilliant and deserves to be famous.. her online moniker is Venetian Princess ad her website ca be found at; www.vprincess.com, i fact she's all over the internet, You Tube, My Space, etc.. this girl knows how to market herself!

Why I want to help to save this planet

Hiya...

Well, I'd be lying if I didn't say that I want to help to save the planet.. Fact is no matter how small a change we can make towards going a bit greener it still has an impact.

If everyone just changed a few products, changing your usual bin bags to degradable ones (thus reducing the impact on landfill) .. recycling whatever can be recycled, from paper, plastics, cardboard and even clothing... Use the principles set up in the second world war of "make do and mend".. or even as Bob the Builder says, " Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" These are simple but amazingly useful things to do. Reducing capital expenditure, and encouraging the reusing of things that can be reused, and recycling what can be recycled ... It all makes a difference.

I have started doing all those things, reducing packaging where I can, reusing all manner of things and recycling all recyclable stuff... the result is I now have half a bin of stuff that goes for refuse collection each week! Which reduces the impact on landfill, and incineration( which is the method of getting rid of waste where I live)
